Meet Me In The Pit

Meet Me In The Pit is a comics anthology about music published by Blue Print Comics. Articulate Silence, John Cage and his Silent Score features in Issue 3 and is about 4’33”, the silent piece of music written by John Cage in 1952.

This is a non-fiction piece so I wanted the artwork to be realistic and reflect New York in the 1950s. I found a series of stunning black and white photos taken by Stanley Kubrick which were perfect.
